
In a funny and well researched article for Marie Claire, the author, Helena Andrews set out to declare war on what appeared to be an epidemic of singledom among African-American women. Besides offering her own relationship story, Ms. Andrews reviewed a plethora of data. She spoke with Ivory Toldson, a Howard professor, his insightful analysis of the census revealed what we here at wifeytype.com have reported before, that “most black women eventually do marry.” In fact, Mr. Toldson went on to say, “75 percent of black women older than age 35 have wed at least once.” What we are very interested in, is how fruitful are these marriages.
